What inspired you to start Ordinary People & how long has Ordinary People been around?
Other bloggers inspired my cousin and I to start Ordinary People, and now it’s been running for just more than two years!
How did you come up with the name “Ordinary People“?
It’s really cheesy if you think about it, but we really believed that anyone from any corner of the world could become a fashion blogger.
What is your secret to keeping warm in our subzero temperatures ?
My must-have piece for keeping warm in our subzero temperatures is a ginormous black knit scarf.
What’s the best part of living in Edmonton? Where are the best places to visit, sleep, shop and eat there when visiting?
There aren’t too many places to visit in Edmonton, but I guess West Edmonton Mall (since it’s famous for (once) being the biggest mall in the world) and Whyte Avenue are good places to start. Places to shop include Oak + Fort, Gravity Pope, Loft 82, Coup Boutique, Bamboo Ballroom, and I can’t think of anywhere else. And if you’re hungry, check out King Noodle for some Vietnamese grub, Ragazzi for Italian and Yiannis for Greek.
What designers, photographers, decades or trends inspire you the most?
I don’t often find myself having the energy to pay attention to trends or designers. I get most of my inspiration from street style photos!
Most memorable moment of Ordinary People?
When I went to New York Fashion Week two seasons ago!
